I’m so excited to be photographing your new baby! Such a true pleasure and honor, so thank you for choosing me to capture these precious memories for you.

This is a guide to prep for your newborn session to help it run as smoothly as possible.

Sessions are held in my studio located at 214 W. Main Street, Tavares, FL 32778. My studio is in downtown Tavares, across the street from the round courthouse. It is an upstairs location in a greenish building. The Republican office is downstairs, and my door is to the left. The door is blue with my logo on it. You can park in front of my studio or behind it.

Lifestyle Studio Newborn with Family sessions are just that. This is a session photograph your new baby, as well as your immediate family, with a lifestyle look, in my studio.

Regarding setting your session date/time: Some moms like to email me if they are having a c-section or induction and know the date and want to get the session on the calendar shortly thereafter. There are also moms that like to wait until they get home and get some rest for a few days and then reach out. Both options are fine. Lifestyle newborn sessions can be done at any stage, from a few days new up to a few months after baby's arrival. It's all a personal preference from client to client. As a reminder from the investment page as well as the initial booking email information, sessions take place Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday midday.

With the lifestyle look, baby can be asleep or awake because there is minimal posing. You can choose to dress baby in a onesie, outfit, etc. I suggest soft, plain, comfortable, neutral. I have a neutral blanket for use in the studio if you'd like. I use the Moses basket for most images of baby alone.

Family images will be taken on the bed for a cozy look, as well as in front of my windows for a dreamy look, and in front of my white walls for a portrait look.

If you are stuck on what to wear, I'm glad to help. Email me for more advice ([email protected]). I love client wardrobe so much, I have decided to carry clothing in my studio for you to borrow during your session. This helps take off some of the pressure of finding the perfect outfit that will photograph great. If you'd like to use my wardrobe, please let me know so I can send you more info on that. If you're shopping to purchase your own, I recommend these sites:

Ivy City

Piper and Scoot

Morning Lavender

Anthropologie

Baltic Born

Fillyboo

Joyfolie

Free People

Target, WalMart, Old Navy, and H&M often have nice dresses as well. Many of the more expensive dresses I mentioned, you can get from a rental company. If you purchase one, they are usually easy to re-sell. Poshmark is another good spot to find boutique quality dresses at a discounted price.  For clothing for children, I suggest Gap, Old Navy, Zara, and H&M.

**Please keep in mind. If you're not a fan of your arms in photos, I do not recommend wearing a sleeveless dress. You need to be 100% comfortable and feel beautiful in what you wear. That is a game changer in the confidence that radiates in the photos. **

Please bring plenty of diapers and wipes for baby. The session can take anywhere from 45 minutes - 1 1/2 hours. If you are formula feeding, please make sure to bring formula. Snacks for yourself (and your family) are also great to have on hand in case the session runs long. I usually have snacks in the studio in case you forget. I have a playroom for your other children.  Please make sure nails are clean and either not polished, or freshly polished with a soft color.

I will send an email after the session asking if you'd like a sneak peek posted. I only post if I have permission via email.

You will receive all edited, full size images within 4 weeks of your session. I will notify you via email when your
images are ready to download. Please remember to back up your files.
